Functieomschrijving HR Business Partner (Western Europe)

As HR Business Partner you are the sole HR contact within the parameter reporting into the International Operations Human Resources Manager located in Paris, with a functional line into Operations. The parameter of Western Europe covers the following 5 countries: Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Spain & Italy.

As the sole HR contact you will manage all HR related matters for General Managers, Country Operations Directors and employees from the regional offices. You deliver a business aligned HR strategy by providing general HR services from operational to strategic level.

In the position of HR Business Partner you are managing and providing the following tasks & responsibilities in each country:

  • Work proactively as a HR business partner with the country operations directors across the region, thereby ensuring appropriate communication flow, best practices sharing and unified approaches to global / regional rollouts.
  • Ensure legal compliance with local and national law and ensure that people policies, procedures and best practices are up to date, legally compliant and thoroughly communicated.
  • Execute an effective talent management strategy for the various business needs in each country (internal moves, promotions, development), and international level.
  • Handling and management of disciplinary cases and grievances by providing support and guidance to General Managers on specific HR cases.
  • Recruitment of General Managers and positions at the regional offices
  • Collaborate with HR Support Services in Paris aligning HR processes to ensure excellence in delivery of HR/ people processes.
  • Any operational HR tasks for General Managers and regional offices: pension contributions, employment contracts, employee correspondence, benefits enrolment, monthly payroll and HR reporting.

You also:

  • Support the Group’s talent exchange programs between Europe and Asia
  • Participate in International HR Projects on regional and international level

Functievereisten HR Business Partner (Western Europe)

Profile candidate:

  • Education on HBO/ Bachelor level
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as HR Manager or HR Business Partner (preferably in hospitality or retail)
  • Mother tongue Dutch and fluent in English
  • Being able to manage multiple countries and knowledge of local labour law
  • You are highly organized and efficient, able to work independent with a strong capacity to be a real HR team player
  • You have excellent communication skills to communicate on different levels within the organisation and gain confidence
  • You are able to prioritize your tasks and responsibilities
  • You are a decisive personality with persuasiveness
  • You are an inspiring sparring partner for middle and senior management
  • You are pro-active, flexible and able to work with ad-hoc requests
